If a section is not showing 100% complete, it simply means that not all required fields or components within that section have been filled out. This does not prevent you from moving forward in the evaluation process and this does not mean that the score on the evaluation will be negatively impacted by the omission.
You can still continue to the next step and complete your evaluation as expected.
The only time a section is required to be fully completed (100%) is if your evaluator or district specifically requests it. Otherwise, partial completion is perfectly acceptable. An unanswered competency is simply not factored in (it is not factored in as a score of 0) and written feedback carries no weight (in terms of the final score) on any evaluations.
If you are struggling to find the response that is required, be sure that all competencies are scored. If a competency is included in the evaluation, a response is required to reach 100% completion for that domain.
If you are still not at 100% when all competencies have been rated, we need to look at the written feedback. Criteria for what constitutes a required response (for written feedback) can vary by rubric. Some popular conditions that often cause written feedback to become required are:
- Rating the evaluatee with a lower rating than they rated themselves
- Rating an evaluatee with a rating in the bottom half of responses on the given scale. (A two out of four on a LIKERT scale, for example).
Any written feedback that is required will be marked with red text stating "required for 100% completion".
