Pennsylvania principal evaluations have some unique nuances that differentiate it from other evaluation types. The Principal's Self-Assessment (Step 2.a) is outlined here.
ROLE: Principal
NAVIGATION PATH: Dashboard > Step 2.a
Step 2.a follows the traditional evaluation workflow. If you are already familiar with this functionality, you may proceed directly to the Step 4 support guide.
Click on Step 2.a of the dashboard.
In Step 2.a, all four domains and your performance goals are displayed in the Evaluation Contents bar. Select the desired category to view its contents.
For each component listed under its associated domain, evaluate yourself by selecting the desired rating.
Below the rubric of each component, you may add your own notes to justify your self-assessment rating by clicking My Reflections and Comments and typing or pasting text into the provided box. You may add files or links as supplementary materials by clicking Supporting Evidence and selecting the file(s) from your device or typing/pasting a URL.
The Overall Evaluation category displays an overall visual representation of your collective component ratings for each domain, including an Overall Rating (summation).
You may also add overall comments in the Comments by the Principal text entry box.
To add documents/files, such as those associated with a mid-year review, drag and drop a file into the appropriate box or click on the box to locate the file on your device.
To finalize Step 2.a, click the Submit to Year-End Review button on the dashboard.
NOTE: Your evaluator is responsible for completing Steps 2.b and 3. You do not have access to these steps, but you will have the opportunity to view the final evaluation in its entirety in Step 4.
Please see the Pennsylvania Principal Evaluation: Step 4 support guide for the final steps.
