Pennsylvania principal evaluations have some unique nuances that differentiate it from other evaluation types. The Principal Reviewer's Evaluation (Step 2.b) is outlined here.
ROLE: Principal Evaluator
NAVIGATION PATH: Dashboard > Step 2.b
Step 2.b follows the traditional evaluation workflow. If you are already familiar with this functionality, you may proceed directly to the Step 3 support guide.
Click on Step 2.b of the dashboard.
To start your assessment of the principal, click the green plus sign button under the Evaluation column. If you have already started the evaluation and are returning to continue your work, click the blue rubric button that is associated with your name.
In Step 2.b, all four domains and the principal's performance goals are displayed in the Evaluation Contents bar. Select the desired category to view its contents.
For each component listed under its associated domain, click on Reflections, Comments, & Evidence (if supplied by the principal) to view the notes and supplementary materials added by the principal to support the self-assessment rating.
Then, evaluate the principal on each component by selecting the desired rating(s).
Below each component, you may also add your own notes to provide a rationale for your rating by clicking My Feedback and Comments and typing or pasting text into the provided box. You may add files or links as supplementary materials of your own by clicking Supporting Evidence and selecting the file(s) from your device or typing/pasting a URL.
The Overall Evaluation category displays an overall visual representation of your collective component ratings for the principal for each domain, including an Overall Rating (summation).
You may also add overall comments in the Comments by the Principal Evaluator text entry box.
Click on Overall Reflections and Comments to view those provided by the principal.
To add documents/files, such as those associated with a mid-year review, drag and drop a file into the appropriate box or click on the box to locate the file on your device.
To finalize Step 2.b, click the Mark Complete button on the dashboard.
NOTE: You are responsible for completing Steps 2.b and 3. The principal does not have access to these steps but will have the opportunity to view the final evaluation in its entirety in Step 4.
